When I first started Crazy Bugg Creations, my kids were 1 and 3 years old, I was a stay at home mom, and we just moved to Florida. Now, my kids are 8 and 10 years old, I work part-time, and we have lived in Florida for 8 years.

Just a week ago I decided to pull the boys out of school and start homeschooling them. It was a tough decision and it was made after I did a lot of research. I wanted to start this blog to share my experiences and maybe help others in their research.

First, let me start by saying when I started this process, I had no idea where to begin. When I decide to do something, I pour all my time and energy into it to ensure that I have as much information as I can get to be successful.

My adventure began by looking for homeschooling groups on Facebook both locally and nationally. I found three to start. One was a resource group, one was a local Tampa Bay group, and one was a national group. I posted in the local group stating that I was brand new to homeschooling and didn’t know where to start. The support started pouring in! People started commenting on the process in Florida and their favorite curriculum they use. I also sent a few messages to friends that knew someone who homeschool their children. With reading through the Facebook groups and information from my friends I was able to find the most popular curriculum that people use and what steps I needed to take to start the homeschool process.
